Community Update – Supplemental Budget
During the supplemental budget hearing, our Director of Business Services, Katie Saul, explained that the district received more federal funding this year than originally estimated.
These funds are restricted, meaning they must be used for specific purposes. The additional dollars will go toward programs our district has long offered, including:
Title I-A – Improving Basic Programs
Title II-A – Supporting Effective Instruction
Perkins Grant – Career and Technical Education (CTE)
These grants are not new; Hermiston School District simply received a higher allocation than expected. This will help strengthen programs that directly benefit students and staff.
