West Park Elementary Project

Construction Timeline

Since last spring the Hermiston School District, in partnership with Loofburrow Architects(Yakima) and Sargent Architects(Hermiston), have been coordinating with staff, patrons, and parents to help formulate conceptual renderings for the replacement West Park Elementary School. Input from the Blue Ribbon Panel and community attitude surveys revealed a strong commitment from the patrons of Hermiston to strive for financial stewardship and fiscal responsibility in these projects.  In response to this desire, the Board of Directors have chosen to consider prototypical school designs for the Sunset and West Park replacement projects.  Focusing on prototypical designs decreases the overall development, construction, and long term maintenance costs for the projects, helping to lower the overall tax burden for the community.
