In partnership with First Student, Hermiston School District’s transportation provider, the district is excited to announce the FirstView program, a bus tracking and parent communications app for the smartphone or desktop.
With features including Live Tracking, Customizable Bus Proximity Notification, Custom Alerts and Messages, and Multi-Stop View, parents and guardians can track the approximate location and the direction of their students bus live.
To download the app, parents should visit www.firstviewapp.com or find FirstView in the App Store or Google Play; then, follow the instructions to download the app to a smartphone and setup a profile. To complete the registration, parents will be need to select a state of residence, select a school district, enter the student ID or district code (KHWL), and type in the route name or number. Following registration, parents can choose to follow a route and/or set up customizable alerts and notifications.
FirstView offers a dedicated customer support team Monday through Friday to assist families, either by toll-free call, email, or in-app options.
