Notice of Budget Committee Meeting
Two public meetings of the Budget Committee of the Hermiston School District 8R, County of Umatilla, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021, will be held. These are public meetings where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. In response to the current health emergency resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the District’s facilities are currently closed to the public, and these meetings will be held electronically. Links and viewing information will be available on the District’s website www.hermiston.k12.or.us.
The first meeting will take place on Monday, May 4, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the first meeting is to receive the budget message and review the proposed budget. The second meeting will be held on May 18, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. to receive comments from the public and for approval of the proposed budget. The District will accept public comment in writing prior to the May 18th meeting. Any person may provide comments discussing the proposed programs with the Budget Committee by emailing email@example.com by 12 pm, May 18. A copy of the budget document will be available for viewing on the District’s website on or after May 5, 2020.
